2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8, the new 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 makes its debut in the Chrysler brand product lineup delivering an estimated 465 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, up 40 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. over the 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 it replaces. Projected performance numbers include 0-60 mph acceleration in the high 4-second range; quarter mile in high 12 second range; 0-100-0 mph in less than 16 seconds, top speed of 175 mph and stopping power from 60-0 mph in 120 feet.

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is an Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) system that is tuned specifically for the Chrysler 300 SRT8 to offer a compliant and comfortable ride. The ADS system also uses a wide range of on-road and driver inputs – such as vehicle speed, steering angle, steering speed, brake torque, throttle position and lateral and vertical accelerations – to automatically tune the suspension for specific conditions when necessary.

The performance SRT-tuned, fully-hydraulic steering system also has been improved with a new, heavy-duty pump and revised gearing to give drivers more direct feel and on-center response.

New seven-spoke, 20-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels and available three- or four-season tires provide great looks with fun-to-drive performance and handling.

2012 Chrysler Delta

Chrysler Delta comes with four trim levels: S, SE, SR and Limited. There are four engines too, starting with a lively petrol 1.4-litre TurboJet and a more powerful 140bhp 1.4-litre that uses Fiat’s ground-breaking MultiAir technology. These are supplemented by a pair of potent yet economical diesels, in 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre capacities, which benefit from second generation MultiJet technology. All models feature six-speed gearboxes with a semi-automatic version available on the 1.6 SE MultiJet.

Standard equipment is satisfyingly high. Even the range-starting S model offers a radio/CD with MP3 compatibility, front foglamps with cornering function, remote keyless entry, manual air-conditioning and power windows front and rear. And the range-topping Limited model comes with Blue&Me™, a Navigation system, headlamps with dusk sensors, reclining rear seats and leather upholstery.

Safety comes as standard throughout the Delta range, so all models are equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), six airbags, three-point safety belts for all five seats, ABS anti-lock braking with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Holder and Anti Slip Regulation traction control. Black&Red, this latest edition is designed to attract new and different customers to the model range and also to the Chrysler brand, which has just been relaunched in the UK.

Available with a choice of three engines – 0.9-litre TwinAir and 1.2-litre petrol, and 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel – new Black&Red receives a raft of standard interior features including black and red fabric seat upholstery, dashboard and door linings, air conditioning, Blue&Me Bluetooth, and a 360-degree hi-fi system.

Outside, the car gets black and red bi-colour paint, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps, black glass and body-coloured side skirts, all as standard.

Chrysler Eco Voyager Concept

The Chrysler ecoVoyager's wheels are driven by an electric motor, with power primarily supplied by a lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor develops 200 kilowatts (268 horsepower), giving the ecoVoyager a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 8.8 seconds. A regenerative braking system helps top up the battery during deceleration.

The ecoVoyager concept uses a small hydrogen fuel cell to extend the range for occasional long trips. Using the hydrogen fuel cell, the Chrysler ecoVoyager's total range is greater than 300 miles, with only water exiting the tailpipe.

The styling of the Chrysler ecoVoyager is not the most exciting, but it's mono-box shape is well executed and practical, providing the maximum amount of interior space for the occupants.
