2011 Carlsson Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Carlsson offers its Carlsson S-Class (type W/V 221) additional sportiness, individuality, and luxury. The 12-cylinder bi-turbo of the top version in the S 600 L now impresses with 600 hp (441kW) instead of the standard 517 hp (380 kW). Its maximum torque is electronically limited to 1024 Newton metres. This increase in power is the result of an optimised engine management approach together with the sports air filter and the sport exhaust system. The tremendous accelerating power brings the Carlsson S-Class in 4.3 seconds from 0 to 100 kph (series: 4.6 seconds) up to the top speed, which is limited to 320 kph. This performance gain is the result of lavish test cycles and many years of experience with the engine of the manufacturer from Stuttgart. The performance enhancement including the sport exhaust system is available for the S 600 L for 4997 Euro including all applicable taxes. Further performance enhancements are available for 6-, 8-, and 12-cylinder engines as well as for Diesel engines. The top model based on the S 63 AMG allows up to 685 hp (504 kW).

Four additional headlight (fog lights and high beams) as well as vertically integrated LED daytime running lights ensure for safety on the road by day and night. The rear of the S-Class is completed with its rear apron, crowned with a sporty rear spoiler. The visual promise of the new aerodynamic package is kept by the intelligent lowering kit, Carlsson C-Tronic SUSPENSION for vehicles with AIRMATIC or ABC suspension system. The C-Tronic is available for only 1178 Euro and outperforms even the Active Body Control suspension system by Mercedes-Benz.

Carlsson CK63 RS based on Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG features a new front spoiler and the front spoiler lip RS made of carbon fibre ensure an athletic look for the luxurious saloon, a look which is underscored further by the black painted stainless steel grille inserts. Carlsson incorporates coupé-style contours and lends the vehicle’s exterior a touch of sophistication with the comprehensive aerodynamic package. The new front spoiler and the front spoiler lip RS made of carbon fibre ensure an athletic look for the luxurious saloon, a look which is underscored further by the black painted stainless steel grille inserts.

Optimized by Carlsson, the engine of the CLS 63 AMG with Performance Package under the long bonnet now produces 649 hp (477 kW) and 900 Nm of torque, compared to the original 557 hp (410 kW) and 800 Nm. This allows the Carlsson CK63 RS to reduce the time for the sprint from 0 to 100 kph from 4,3 to 4,1 seconds.

Carlsson stainless steel sport exhaust system with 4 oval end pipes gives the CK63 RS a distinctive sound. Also for smaller diesel and gasoline engines, Carlsson offers technically sophisticated performance kits with the general Carlsson 3 year guarantee. The performance kit CK50 for the CLS 500 for instance raises the output of the engine from 408 hp (300 kW) and 600 Nm of torque to 475 hp (349 kW) and 687 Nm.

At the front, the two black grille inserts made of powder-coated stainless steel above and below the number plate add a touch of individuality. The Carlsson LED daytime running lights have been approved not only as daytime running lights but also as sidelights, meaning that they may be used together with the low-beam lights. The conversion of the exterior is completed by the Carlsson front spoiler and the rear skirt extension made of high-quality polyurethane. The extension comprises the Carlsson sport rear silencer, completely made of stainless steel, with its four round tail-pipes which gives the Carlsson Smart a sonorous sound.

For the interior, the driver and passenger seat are covered with quilted Nappa leather including embroidered Carlsson logos in the backrests. The steering wheel, the dashboard topside and the door panels are refined with finest Nappa leather, whereas the kneepad, headliner, sunblinds, pillars, instrument topside and glove compartment cover are made of Alcantara.
