2012 Toyota Prius V

Toyota Prius V will feature over 50-percent more interior cargo space than the current Prius. The exterior styling is sleek, rounded and bold, with an extended roofline that allows the vehicle to retain the triangular silhouette symbolic of Prius. The trapezoidal-shaped front features sharp-edged headlamps, wind-slipping aero corners for improved aerodynamics and an enlarged under grille, which all help create a unique design evolving from the current Prius. Toyota Prius V’s rear styling is highlighted by a refined backdoor panel, intricate combination taillights and a specially designed roof spoiler that improves air flow.

Also available, and a Toyota-first, is a resin Panoramic View moonroof with power retractable sun shades that provides an open atmosphere in the cabin with a 40-percent reduction in weight as compared to conventional glass roofs of the same size, and excellent heat insulation performance.

Like the current generation Prius, the Toyota Prius V is a showcase of technology that will include many of the same standard features. Four driving modes (Normal, Power, Eco and EV) satisfy a variety of road conditions and driver preferences. A Smart Key System with Push Button Start, an electronic shift lever, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), and a back-up camera are standard. Available options include energy-efficient LED headlamps, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with a Pre-Collision System (PCS), and Advanced Parking Guidance System.

2011 Toyota Celica Racecar by Jonny Milner

Based on the sixth generation Celica, Milner’s car is super-lightweight, tipping the scales at just 1,050kg. For better weight distribution, the driver’s position has moved back 12 inches, and the car’s centre of gravity has been lowered by raising the wheel arches and upper suspension mounts. A flat floor and rear diffuser add a degree of ground effect.

The engine is from a World Rally Championship winning Corolla, newly fitted with a Rotrex supercharger that will help raise maximum output to more than 800bhp. A nitrous oxide injection system helped reduce turbo-lag for quicker acceleration off the line. Super soft rallycross specification Michelin slick tyres also played an important role in getting all that horsepower to the ground.

2012 Toyota Hilux

Toyota introduces a new design and further improves the model’s renowned quality, durability and reliability. The 2012 Toyota Hilux’s new interior has been extensively revised with a refined design which reinforces the pick-up’s credentials as a leisure vehicle. It offers improved sensory quality throughout the cabin, and passenger car levels of convenience.

The front of the 2012 Toyota Hilux is entirely redesigned from the A pillar forwards, with a new bonnet, radiator grille, headlamps and front bumper. The vehicle profile is further enhanced by newly designed front and rear wings, redesigned 15″ and 17″ steel and alloy wheels, and new door mirrors.

In order to create a stronger differentiation between ‘workhorse’, ‘dual usage’ and ‘leisure’ versions, the 2012 Hilux is now available in four grades: DLX, the new DLX+, SR and SR+. Fulfilling a ‘workhorse’/'dual usage’ role, the brand new DLX+ grade is available with 2WD or 4WD 2.5 D-4D powertrains mated to a manual transmission in Single Cab, Extra Cab and Double Cab body styles, and with a 4WD 3.0 D-4D powertrain and manual transmission as a Double Cab only.

Through the introduction of variable nozzle turbocharging, 2012 Toyota Hilux 2WD 2.5 D-4D models benefit from a 24 hp increase in power. The engine now develops 144 hp at 3600 rpm and 343 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.
